The history of this castle dates back approximately 800 years. However, more recently, in 1977, the castle and coach house were adapted for residential use. The castle is surrounded by a moat and sits within a vast landscape of forests and meadows crisscrossed with walking paths.

Since the early 1990s, Soelen Castle and its surrounding 157-hectare estate have been owned by Staatsbosbeheer (the Dutch Forestry Commission). Due to changes in policy within Staatsbosbeheer, it has been decided to sell the apartments in the castle, the coach house, the apartment in the gatehouse, and the garages currently owned by Staatsbosbeheer.

This national monument, including the castle, coach house, and garages, is accessed via a long driveway followed by an entrance bridge and a charming gatehouse. In front of the castle lies a large coach house, which houses four spacious apartments. Within the beautiful castle itself, there are six additional apartments.
