The Art Loss Register
The Art Loss Register (ALR) is the world’s largest private database of stolen and disputed art, antiques and collectibles. The ALR was set up in 1990 and the database now including more than 700,000 items as stolen, lost or subject to a claim. As part of the Vetting for PAN Amsterdam, the ALR checks exhibited objects against its database and removes any items reported as subject to a claim.
